Blog Topics by Chris Brogan newsletter

One of the most common questions I get asked after a presentation is, “How do you come up with blog topics?” In the same vein, after nineteen months of blogging I sometimes struggle to determine a blog topic for SchneiderB.com. That all changed about three months ago when I found a blog topics secret weapon and I'd like to share 4 reasons why iLove Blog Topics by Chris Brogan.

I don’t know about you, but I’ve experienced writers’ block from time to time. If you have, you’ve probably experienced “blog topic writers’ block” as well. I know I have. When you write regularly, it can be challenging to come up with meaningful and useful topics for your audience.

Few people talk about Blog Topics by Chris Brogan, but you will reach your goals faster and easier if you learn what’s working well from others. Using this brilliant resource will help you improve your productivity and make it easier to come up with blog topics.

  1. 10 New Blog Topics Per Week

Each week Chris Brogan sends me at least 10 new blog topics by email and quite often he includes writing advice and suggestions from his years of blogging. I can't tell you how incredibly helpful these topics have been, not only to help my determine ideas for SchneiderB.com, but also for ideas for my school's blog.

I also feel like I receive more than 10 ideas per week because I view each topic as a jumping off point to help me brainstorm other topics, angles, or ways of looking at an idea based on Chris's suggestion.

Here are a few examples of posts that I wrote after receiving the Blog Topics by Chris Brogan Newsletter:

  1. Not Free But Worth It

If you've read my iLove posts in the past you know I prefer tools that are free – the Blog Topics by Chris Brogan Newsletter is not however. Chris charges $9.95 a month and it is one of the few tools that I actually pay money to use. In my opinion the price is more than fair and worth every penny.

  1. Weekly Delivery

As I mentioned earlier, Chris sends an email once a week with at least 10 new blog topics. I am specifically listing the weekly delivery as a reason iLove Blog Topics by Chris Brogan Newsletter because it keeps me thinking about blog topics every week as opposed to a monthly delivery newsletter. More than once I've forgotten to expect the newsletter and have been pleasantly surprised to see it in my inbox which I use as a gentle reminder that I need to blog.

  1. Chris Brogan. Trust Agent.

I'm a big fan of Chris Brogan and his work. I've interviewed him for edSocialMedia, read his New York Times bestseller, Trust Agents, and read his blog daily. He is the Chief of Staff at AppFire Technologies, a software company that builds Atlassian apps. Chris is also an executive-level strategist and CEO advisor, working with companies at the 100M+ revenue range. Chris has now written nine New York Time bestsellers and is a sought-after speaker. I respect his work and think that he has a ton of credibility because he walks the walk (check out my Trust Agent Book Review) and talks the talks by earning his living blogging, writing, and speaking.
