I would consider myself a fairly experienced Twitter user but the more I use this social media channel the more I realize that there is much I need to learn. One of those lessons involves managing Twitter's email notifications when someone follows your account. I have found a solution and I need to share 3 reasons why iLove Topify.
Topify is a web application that sits between Twitter and you with regard to email. Sounds simple enough but it's brilliance is in it's simplicity. After signing up for Topify you enter your email address where you would like to receive your notifications and then you receive a Topify email address that you need to enter as your email address at your Twitter settings. After completing this set-up, you will now receive emails anytime that someone follows your Twitter account.
1. Email Format
Where Topify shines is in the content, format, and functionality of their email message. The email comes in HTML format and includes the person's Twitter picture which I enjoy checking out. I personally place a lot of value on someone's Twitter picture and appreciate the time saving feature of having the image in the email.
2. Email Functionality
As I become more involved with Twitter, and have the good fortune of gaining more Twitter follower,s the number of emails I received has increased as well. Anything that makes my management of social media more efficient is a requirement for me and the Topify email is a lesson in efficiency. Any action that I could take with regard to this new follower is included in the email: follow, block, report for spam. The really time saving benefit is that you can complete these actions by forwarding the email you receive or by clicking these actions from within your email. I am able to determine which action I want to do in a matter of seconds.

Finally, Topify is free and although the founders have recently discussed offering premium versions, the thought is that the current version will remain free.
